Geister

At the center of RUHRORTER's current production is a special perspective on pasts and careers. The multimedia theater work GEISTER lets two people enter a threshold space in the old carpenter's workshop of the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Hütte, which increasingly blurs the differences between what has been and what could have been. This sets in motion a game with memories, desires and certainties that revolves around doppelgangers and other ghostly apparitions. Encounters arise that are as uncanny as they are familiar, possible life courses are hinted at - and the supposed absoluteness of the real is permanently questioned.
