Invitation to the School Theatre Days 10 - 12 June 2026

Dear theatre makers,

We cordially invite you and your theatre groups to the 2026 School Theatre Days at the Theater an der Ruhr!

Our aim is to offer young theatre makers a place outside of school where they can present their projects, scenes or productions and exchange ideas with other theatre-loving students – about rehearsal processes, stage experiences and the joy of performing together.

At the same time, we would also like to highlight you, the dedicated leaders of the groups, and recognise your valuable work.

The focus of the School Theatre Days is on the joy of performing, encounters and exchanges between the young performers.

Free from any competitive spirit.

 

Conditions of participation

School groups from Year 5 onwards are eligible to participate.

Registration deadline: 20 April 2026 (registrations can be made now at Julia.Meschede@theateranderruhr.de).

Performance duration: max. 30 minutes, so that as many groups as possible can participate.

Finished productions, excerpts or rehearsals can be shown – the festival sees itself as an open space for all forms of theatre.
