The reading foyer

At regular intervals, interested audience members and staff from dramaturgy and acting meet in the foyer of the Theater an der Ruhr to read from the texts and books that currently accompany the artistic work at the theater over coffee, tea, and pastries. Why are they important? What else can be discovered in them? What perspectives and thoughts arise in the discussion of what has been read together?

No prior knowledge is necessary—anyone who is interested in exchange and encounter is invited!

In this special edition of the reading foyer, in the run-up to the production Kein Ort. Nirgends (No Place. Nowhere), the focus is on the underlying novel of the same name by Christa Wolf and the themes that run through the book and the stage space.
