Salon on Feminist Day of Action

On Feminist Day of Action, we invite you to a special afternoon salon in our foyer: Women have achieved amazing things in the past, distinguishing themselves as visionary creators and courageously thinking ahead to the future.

During the salon, where we invite all interested parties to join us for coffee and pastries, we will present a new book dedicated to extraordinary women: The publication 12 Lives – 12 Centuries, due out in February 2026, is a project of the Women's Council of North Rhine-Westphalia and brings together portraits of powerful utopians who have all worked in our immediate vicinity.

In addition to Saskia Bellem, project manager of FrauenOrte NRW (who wrote an article about Anja Niedringhaus), we are delighted to welcome Katharina Hülscher (about Abbess Mathilde) and Sarah Gonschorek (about Ilna Ewers-Wunderwald) as further authors of the volume on this day. 

We would like to introduce some of them and talk to you about them before Hildegard von Bingen, another great woman, is honored on our theater stage.
