The world behind the painting
Utopias need images

For 10- to 14-year-olds
In this workshop for young people, we design personal spaces for the future. Together, we invent fantastic parallel worlds — dream cities between nature and technology, floating gardens, glowing night forests, societies where everything is finally as it should be. These worlds don't just stay in our heads: we paint them with acrylic paints on extra-large canvases. Each canvas becomes a portal. And then we enter the world behind it.
We develop a short stage performance from the pictures. We explore: Who lives in this world? What rules apply there? What would you protect in this world? What would you never allow again?
At the end of the workshop, we don't just show the resulting paintings as an exhibition — we perform them. The audience sees the pictures, hears the stories behind them, and meets the inhabitants of your utopias live on stage.
