Radioballet – Workshop for Teachers

Workshop Facilitator: Marvin Bicko / Körperfunkkollektiv

The Willy Brandt School in Mülheim and the Theater an der Ruhr invite you to a radio ballet.

A radio ballet is an interactive audio performance experienced through headphones. Participants hear voices, music, sounds, and movement instructions, and work together to bring them to life in the space. This creates a unique form of radio play in which the participants themselves become performers. The familiar space is perceived in a new way, and collective action within the group becomes an artistic experience.

On November 12, teachers and anyone interested are invited to discover and try out this unique art form for themselves. Following a group Radio Ballet performance, there will be an opportunity to discuss the experience and gain insight into the artistic method. Together, we’ll explore the possibilities that radio ballet offers for working with students and groups, and how it can be used as a creative introduction, an artistic inspiration, or a starting point for your own projects.

The focus is on personal experience, the joy of experimentation, and the development of new ideas. No prior knowledge or stage experience is required.
