Christopher Dippert

is a freelance stage designer and video artist.

He works on interdisciplinary projects in the fields of film, theatre and visual arts with an explicit interest in interactive scenographies and responsive environments. His work focuses on the correlation of space and subject as well as the hybridisation of theatre, contemporary media and new technologies. On an artistic-research level, he deals intensively with the constitution of space through bodies and their sensory perception of multidimensional scenographies and atmospheres. A recurring interest is the exploration of mechanisms of the vitalisation of spatial works through inherent choreographies. With the final thesis of his bachelor's degree in scenic arts at the University of Hildesheim and his master's degree in the stage space class at the HFBK Hamburg, he investigates the life of scenographic works and their interaction with spectators. In 2024 he was selected as a stART.up scholarship holder of the Claussen Simon Foundation.

His works have been shown at the Thalia Theatre Hamburg, Osnabrück Theatre and Koblenz Theatre, among others.
