Seda Shabahang

Seda Shabahang's focus is on pushing artistic boundaries and creating moments that reach an international audience. During her training in Tehran, she worked with Asghar Dashti, Ali Rafiei and Hamid Pourazi, among others. She was invited to the Ruhr Festival in 2006 with ‘Suddenly a Pigeon’ by Mohammad Chermshir. This was followed over the years by further participations in international festivals, such as the Theater Spektakel Festival Zurich in 2015, the International Athens Theatre Festival in 2016, the International Student Festival Bulgaria in 2017 and ‘The Second Year’ at the Tanawo Festival Hamburg in 2018. In 2019 Seda Shabahang was honoured twice with the Best Actress of the Year Award and in 2021 with the Best Actress Award at the Fajr International Festival. In 2022, she collaborated with Ayat Najafi on his current film project ‘THE SUN WILL RISE’.
