Linus Ebner

Linus Ebner is an actor and painter. After studying acting at the Folkwang University Bochum in 2014, he worked in the independent theatre scene in the Ruhr region. His solo ‘Lenz’ from 2015 can still be seen today at the Rottstr.5 theatre in Bochum. Many of his works were created at the Prinz-Regent-Theater Bochum, including the highly acclaimed evening ‘SISYPHOS!’ from 2018, which he wrote himself. From 2020-2023 he was a member of the ensemble at Schauspiel Dortmund. There he performed in the play ‘GRM: Brainfuck’ (director: Dennis Duszczak), which was invited to the theatre festival radikal jung in 2023. He remains associated with Schauspiel Dortmund as an actor to this day. He can often be seen there in plays by author and director Lola Fuchs, most recently in ‘Der Dämon in dir muss Heimat finden’, invited to radikal jung 2025. He has also been working as an actor with the inclusive POUR ensemble from Wuppertal since 2024.

In 2017, he began to intensify his work as a visual artist. He occasionally exhibits his large-format, nervous paintings. Together with Toby Stöttner, he forms the theatre group ‘maggots.gif’. They are celebrating the premiere of their production ‘server’ at the Theater an der Ruhr, where he is involved as author, actor and set designer.
