‘Under the duvet with the most beautiful bum in the world.’
A solo performance by Hale Bo Enzo Richter and Yeşim Nela Keim Schaub
In Orlando. A copy without an originalTF, a space emerges between fiction and biographical material. Orlando is not merely a literary character, but opens up the possibility of rethinking identity: as something that constantly changes across time, genders and landscapes.
In the encounter with Orlando, the search begins for a self that is not fixed, but is in constant exchange – with words, bodies, birds, loudspeakers and, not least, with the audience. Failure, too, is part of this search: not as an endpoint, but as a moment of deviation, sometimes as painful confusion, but always also as a possibility.
Hale Bo Enzo Richter embarks, together with the audience, on a quest to discover one’s own journey towards queerness and to explore whether community can provide a sense of stability when fixed constructs of identity dissolve.
A production by Theater Freiburg, based on the original by Theater Neumarkt Zurich.
